Palestinian farmers help firemen to extinguish fire from a Palestinian olive tree field after it was set ablaze by Jewish settlers in the West Bank village of Hussan, on October19, 2010. Zionist settlers who vandalise Palestinian trees are not being brought to justice, with police inquiries repeatedly failing to lead to prosecutions, a human rights group said. Anonymous asked: How are you a fan of Anarchism and Socialism, or are they just an interest of yours? And as for your "question" to evil tea bagger, I am not aware of who you hang out with or are surrounded by, but MANY Americans are proud to be an ally of Israel. They are technologically and economically strong, and have a strong military. I am proud to be an Ally of Israel, even if our sad excuse for a president isn't. He no longer has the backing of his country, and does not speak for the whole of us.
wow. my first hate-mail (does this count?). i guess i was asking for it.
i am an anarchist and a member of the socialist party usa (i am also a former scottish green party member and am helping the green party of illinois in the upcoming elections). i do not believe in capitalism or state-capitalism or whatever you want to call the system within which we all operate. i believe in the free-association of individuals, worker-controlled production, equal rights, equal access to services and resources, pacifism (the abolishment of the military and other forms of aggression) and a lot of other things i don’t feel the need to mention here but will be happy to discuss should you wish to pursue further dialogue.
as for my question[s] to evil teabagger (nice use of quotation marks…) i’m not sure what there is to be proud about regarding the us support of israel. i am proud to be an ally of the israeli people (my wife is jewish and has many relatives in israel), not the israeli state. crimes against humanity are no source of pride for any decent human being. decent israelis do not support military action against palestinians. i support local efforts. the us has no business in the middle east. if you can argue otherwise - if you can argue an honest, respectable reason for a us presence in the region - i would love to hear it.
anyone who thinks barack obama is not an ally of the israeli government hasn’t been paying attention. if obama’s regime was really opposed to ‘israel’ you would hear about it. the IDF would collapse.
thanks for the ‘question’, anonymous.
Israeli settler sewage water dumped on Beit Ommar land. Hebron The West Bank. The occupied Palestine. On Sunday, Oct. 17th, 2010, Israeli settlers from Gush Etzion flooded Palestinian farmland in Beit Ommar with thousands of liters of raw sewage. The sewage flooded fruit trees and partially submerged a bulldozer, which had to be towed away. This is the fourth time this year that this particular farmland has been flooded by the settlers.
The Israel/Palestine conflict actually boils down to water scarcity (no pun intended). Jobs focused on water rights are the wave of the future.
Israeli settlers continually cause harm to Palestinian civilians, but little to no action is taken to correct the injustices.
